ProHelp® EPM - How many SQC Variables/Attributes may be entered at an MIU....

The information in this FAQ applies to the following:

  • ProHelp® EPM, Releases 6.2.0, 6.1.0, 6.0.0

  • ProHelp® EPM, Releases 5.2.2, 5.2.1, 5.2.0, 5.1.0, 5.0.0

ProHelp® EPM provides a number of valuable SPC and SQC tools, including Variable and Attribute data entry and analysis. It's important to note that data entry differs depending if the entry is being done at an MIU or a PC that is connected to the system. Data entry also differs between ProHelp® EPM and ProHelp® Millennium.

The following table describes SQC Variable data entry on a ProHelp® EPM system when the user is using a TSMIU(*):

FIELD VALUES ALLOWED PC DATA ENTRY DATA ENTRY AT TSMIU
Parts Per Cycle 1 through 320 Yes. Yes, if Parts Per Cycle is 1. All data entry must be done at a PC if this value is greater than 1.
Characteristics (Measurements) 1 - 32 Yes. Yes, if the number of characteristics is 20 or less. All data entry must be done at a PC if the number of characteristics is greater than 20.
Number of Cycles 1 - 9 Yes. Yes.

The following table describes SQC Attribute data entry on a ProHelp® EPM system when the user is using a TSMIU(*):

FIELD VALUES ALLOWED PC DATA ENTRY DATA ENTRY AT TSMIU
Attributes (Defects) 1 through 100 Yes. Yes, for the first ten attributes, if you are using ProHelp® EPM, Release 6.0.0, or later. All Attribute data entry must be done at a PC for all other attributes or for all releases of ProHelp® EPM prior to Release 6.0.0.

(*) Operation for other types of MIUs may differ.
