ProHelp® EPM - IMAC Will Not Configure After Adding More Inputs Or Parameters....

The information in this FAQ applies to the following:

  • ProHelp® EPM, Releases 5.2.2, 5.2.1, 5.2.0, 5.1.0, 5.0.0

The information in this FAQ does not apply to MIUs. This information only applies to IMACs. IMACs are an obsolete data collection device that were previously distributed by EPOS Corporation.

If an IMAC will not configure after adding more "inputs" or "parameters" in the Machine Configuration, it is possible that you need to lower the IMAC's Sampling Rate. IMACs allow the user to manually configure the Sampling Rate. This allows IMACs with fewer inputs/parameters to sample at a faster rate than IMACs with more inputs/parameters.

This process does not apply to MIUs. The MIU's sampling rate is configured automatically depending on the type of MIU and can not be modified by the user.

To modify the sampling rate for an IMAC, follow these steps:

  • Start Edit Facilities.

  • Click on the Site menu.

  • Select Machine Configuration.

  • When the Machine Configuration program is displayed, select the IMAC to modify and press Edit.

  • Lower the IMAC's Sampling Rate and press Save to save your changes.

  • It is a good idea to reboot the server and the IMAC after making configuration changes.
