ProHelp® EPM - Variable Data Entry - Too Many "Number of Cycles" at the MIU.... The information in this FAQ applies to the following:
When entering Variable Data at an MIU, it is possible that the MIU will display too many "Number of Cycles" (prompts for data entry). For example, rather than prompting the user for 5 cycles per sample, the MIU may prompt the user for 6 or more samples. The cause of this problem is that the system's Automatic SPC Subgroup Size (or LongTerm Subgroup Size) is greater than the Sample Sheet's Number of Cycles. The MIU will use the larger of these 2 numbers to determine how many prompts to display when entering Variable Data. If the Automatic SPC Subgroup Size is larger than the Number of Cycles, the MIU will display too many prompts for Variable Data entry. The extra prompts for data are harmless, although they may be annoying. The extra data will be discarded when it reaches the host computer and will not be recorded. To eliminate these extra prompts, decrease the Long Term Subgroup Size or increase the Number of Cycles. To modify the Long Term Subgroup Size, follow these steps:
To modify the the Number of Cycles value for a Sample Sheet in a Sample Sheet, follow these steps:
To modify the the Number of Cycles value for a Sample Sheet in ProHelp® EPM, Release 5.2.2 and earlier, follow these steps:
