ProHelp® EPM - Windows 2000 Event Log.... The information in this FAQ applies to the following:
ProHelp® EPM uses the Windows 2000 (or Windows NT) Event Log to record the following events:
The first two events (system startup and system shutdown) are normal events and can be initiated by a user. The third event (catastrophic thread death) is an abnormal event that is detected by the ProHelp® EPM Monitoring Engine ("Moller") and usually indicates that there is a problem with the system. After rebooting the system, the user should investigate the cause of the catastrophic thread death. Advanced users can utilize third-party products to notify them when any of these events are recorded in the Windows 2000 Event Log. For additional information, reference the Windows 2000 documentation that came with your ProHelp® EPM system. |
