Mattec's TSMIU sets the standard for power and ease-of-use in a shopfloor data collection unit. Now the TSMIU-0 reduces the cost-of-ownership very dramatically. The TSMIU-0 is a color, touchscreen MIU that is capable of monitoring 2 to 16 machines. It is available for use with the ProHelp® EPM and ProHelp® Millennium production and process monitoring systems.

The TSMIU-0 is available in the following multi-machine configurations:

• 4-in-1. Capable of monitoring 2 to 4 machines.


• 8-in-1. Capable of monitoring 2 to 8 machines.


• 16-in-1. Capable of monitoring 2 to 16 machines.

The TSMIU-0 is available in the following production/process monitoring configurations:

• Digital Only. Permits 16 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs.


• Digital and Analog (Partial). Permits 16 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, 6 discrete analog inputs, and 2 derived analog signals per machine(1).


• Digital and Analog (Full). Permits 16 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, 12 discrete analog inputs, and 2 derived analog signals per machine(1).

Based on user feedback, the TSMIU-0 allows the user to select the language in use on-the-fly. The TSMIU-0 is available today in the following languages:

The TSMIU-0 comes with much of the functionality that has made the TSMIU the industry standard for power and ease-of-use, including the following:

• Real-time Displays - Including all analog and digital signals being monitored. The displays include data for the last machine cycle (color-coded), upper and lower limits, and the "current value" for the cycle in progress.


• Scrap Entry - Including a report or chart of all scrap for the shift, updated in real-time.


• Downtime Selection - Including a report or chart of all downtime for the shift, updated in real-time.


• Call For Help.


• Foreign Language Support - The language in use can be changed on-the-fly by the machine operator.


• Job Standards - Job standards, process limits, etc. for the current job and the next 40 jobs that are scheduled for this machine.


• Setup Sheets - Including Machine, Tool, and QC setup sheets.


• Operator Login - Includes logins for machine operators, machine preventive maintenance, and tool preventive maintenance.
