An improvement in the TSMIU that machine maintenance personnel and process engineers are sure to like is the Machine Status and Alarm display. This screen uses large, easy-to-read "dashboard" gauges to display the real-time values for user-selected parameters, including:

• Yield Efficiency


• Machine Speed (e.g., Cycles Per Hour)


• Time To Go %


• Production To Go %


• Cycle Efficiency


• Machine Utilization


• Cycle Time


• Any of up to 96 monitored process parameters (1)

The user may press a "job-related" dial (e.g., yield efficiency) to instantly view the related Job Descriptor and production report. Press a "parameter" dial (e.g., any of the 96 monitored process parameters) to see the Last 100 cycle display for that parameter.

A text version of the Machine Status and Alarm screen displays additional details about the process parameters that are being monitored. Values for the last machine cycle are color-coded Green if they are within limits, Red if they are above limits, and White if they are below limits. The following information is displayed:

• Job-related information including production and time to go.


• Signal - The process parameter that is being monitored.


• Current Value - The current process parameter value as sampled by the MIU throughout a cycle.


• Last Value - The "derived value" for the parameter.


• High Limit - The user-specified engineering high limit.


• Low Limit - The user-specified engineering low limit.
