Mattec first introduced a Voice Board option for ProHelp® more than 10 years ago. That system required a Prose 4000 board and converted typed text into speech. Today's Voice Board option for ProHelp® EPM uses sound files that can be recorded by the customer. It can be combined with the Email Alarm option to create a very efficient system for alerting users to alarm conditions throughout the plant.

Voice Alarms

The Voice Board option in ProHelp® EPM has the following features:

• Announces when an operator calls for help.


• Announces when a machine is down.


• Announces when a machine is out-of-specification.


• Uses pre-recorded audio (.WAV) files.


• Can be connected to a plant-wide paging system.


• Does not require an additional computer to run.


• Multiple configurations can be created.

Email Alarms

The Email Alarm option in ProHelp® EPM has the following features:

• Sends email alerts when an operator calls for help.


• Sends email alerts when a machine is down.


• Sends email alerts when a machine is out-of-specification.


• Sends email messages to any email account, including cell phones.


• Allows the user to define times of the day / days of the week when specific users will receive email messages.


• Email alerts escalate to different users as problems continue.


• Can be integrated into corporate email systems.


• Does not require an additional computer to run.


• Multiple configurations can be created.
