ProHelp® EPM - Cavity Pressure Control Mattec first introduced its Cavity Pressure Transfer option in 1998. We've been quietly gaining market share ever since. Today, Mattec has more MIUs installed that are capable of performing cavity pressure transfer than competitors who focus solely on cavity pressure monitoring! The idea of cavity pressure control is a rather simple one. You can monitor the cavity pressure on an injection molding machine and transfer the machine from inject to hold when the cavity pressure reaches a known value and produce good parts. Mattec didn't invent this concept, but we did bring it to the market at a very reasonable price. Today, the most commonly-sold MIUs, including the MIU-10X and the TSMIU, are capable of performing Cavity Pressure Transfer. Users specify a Cavity Pressure value in a "Process Sheet". When that value is reached, the MIU will automatically generate a digital output that can be connected to the injection molding machine. In addition to Cavity Pressure Control, the MIU-10X and TSMIU are capable of monitoring Cavity Pressure. For example, with a TSMIU you can:
ProHelp® EPM has many more benefits, including real-time production and process monitoring of up-to 32 process parameters, job scheduling, operator tracking, real-time costing, machine and tool preventive maintenance, and much, much more. Cavity Pressure Transfer is an optional feature in ProHelp® EPM and is available for a small fee.
