The material tracking features allows you to configure up to 10 materials that will be used for every part that is made. You configure an appropriate part weight, runner weight, and percentage of regrind material to use and the system will accurately forecast material usage based on the actual job schedule. Once a job is running, the system will automatically record the amount of virgin and regrind materials used in the process.

When material lots change, the machine operator enters the new material lot number at the MIU. The system keeps track of an unlimited number of material lot changes for things like the primary material, colorant, additives, etc.

The Material Manager is an optional feature that expands the standard material tracking feature in ProHelp® EPM by adding the following functionality:

• The material list for a job can include 100 materials.
• The system will track estimated material inventory for all materials.
• The system will automatically remove material from inventory as it is consumed.
• The system will suggest material purchase orders that should be issued based on material inventory and the job schedule.
• Users may manually issue material purchase orders.
• The system will keep track of material suppliers and contacts, including a current purchase price for each material/supplier.
• The system can suggest purchase orders be issued to particular suppliers based on lowest cost, fastest delivery, highest quality, etc.
