Mattec Combines With CMS Software

June 1, 2006

Mattec Corporation is pleased to announce that Mattec and CMS Software of Toronto, Canada have combined companies for the purpose of being the dominant supplier of ERP systems and MES systems to worldwide manufacturers. The combined companies will have over 150 employees and a customer base in more than 20 countries throughout the world, including North America, Europe, and Asia.

CMS is a leading provider of ERP software, manufacturing software, and supply chain management software solutions to manufacturers and distributors. Mattec's ProHelp® EPM software can now be tightly integrated with CMS's IBM-based (i5) and Microsoft-based (m5) ERP solutions.

"Today, I am very pleased to announce the formal integration of CMS Software with Mattec Corporation", said Mick Thiel, President of Mattec Corporation. View Mick's Announcement (WMV: 4,220KB).

The combined companies will continue to maintain distinct identities and separate sales and service facilities. Mattec's corporate headquarters will remain in Loveland, Ohio, USA and CMS Software's corporate headquarters will remain in Toronto, Canada. In fact, Mattec remains committed to helping our customers integrate ProHelp® EPM with any ERP solution that the customer uses. However, this combination will allow us to provide a level of integration between ProHelp® EPM and CMS's i5 and m5 products that is unheard of in the industry today.

"Mattec serves many of the same customers that currently use CMS Software or should use CMS Software", said Rudy Joss, President of CMS Software. View Rudy's Announcement (WMV: 9,180KB).

"To move to the next level, many of our customers needed a complete and tight integration of shopfloor MES Systems (Manufacturing Execution Systems) with their ERP system to give them real-time information and control of the events on their shop floor", said John Kervin, Chief Technology Officer of CMS Software. "Together with Mattec Corporation, we are acting to meet that challenge. As combined companies, CMS and Mattec will have the expertise and research muscle to provide the industry leadership needed to achieve the difficult task of deeply integrating the MES and ERP information silos."
